Character Animation Test
Well, in order for you to understand this better, I must tell you a story. For Christmas about three years ago (wow, it’s been a while), my sister gave all of us (my two younger brothers and I) a beany-type pillow. It was in the shape of a rather deformed man, who’s head was relatively too big for his body. By a year later, he had come to inherit the title “Mr. Leader Buddy;” I don’t remember how that came to be, but somehow it did. After a year more had passed, Mr. Leader Buddy had traveled many places with the family (e.g. Destin, FL; Tybee Island, GA; St. Simon’s Island, GA; Jekyll Island, GA; Pittsburgh, PA; St. Augustine, GA; etc.). Now, yet another year later, he has traveled to a new place; a place where not many (if any at all) pillows get to travel. This place is not the typical city on a map a few states away, but a place much closer than that. He has made the journey to the computer. What was previously a lifeless stuffed pillow on my bed is now a living 3D character able to do many things unheard of in the real world. Blender 3D has brought Mr. Leader Buddy to life.
I did the modeling, my brother did the rigging (Hehe, yep. I somehow tricked him into that. No, no, no, he volunteered….not sure why
), and one day we hope to bring him to life yet again in a short film.
Here, you can see a test clip I have done. Before we jump into any big projects with this guy, we are going to make many more of these to work the kinks out of him. So for now, enjoy!
Here is another one. This one was done by my brother.
